Each spring break, tourists flock to Destin, FL to take in the stunning emerald green waters and white sand beaches. Here we have gathered a list of our top 10 “Must Do” activities for this year. Whether you are a thrill seeker, shopaholic or a foodie there are plenty of options to satisfy everyone’s vacation dreams. Let’s get to it!

1. Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park: 

Calling all marine life lovers! If you or someone in your party is a fan of sea critters, the Gulfarium is the place for you. They offer up close and personal encounters with dolphins, penguins, gators, stingrays and many other aquatic animals. After, you and the family can grab a seat and watch one of their many shows and demonstrations or take a look at their extensive marine life exhibits.

2. Shopping:

Shop ’til ya drop! Destin and it’s surrounding areas offer some excellent shopping opportunities for vacationers. If you’re looking for souvenir to commemorate your vacation, stop by the Harborwalk Village for clothing, toys, and personalized trinkets. Looking for a deal on some of your favorite brands? Head to the Silver Sands Outlets in Miramar. Or if you’re looking for a mix of activities and upscale shopping options check out the Destin Commons or Grand Boulevard. No matter where you end up there are plenty of recognizable brand names, local shops and boutiques. Your bank account may not thank you, but your closet definitely will!

3. Food Trucks:

Destin and Fort Walton Beach both offer tons of exciting and tasty food truck destinations. Whether you’re looking for something to cool off in the heat or you want to indulge in all of the specialty snacks there is something for everyone. One of favorite spots is Florida Place Food Tucks where they offer multiple trucks on location. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch from Rive Cafe, grab a specialty coffee at Coffee Ave, or satisfy your sweet tooth with an açaí bowl at Sunset Bowls. Another favorite of ours is the Sno Shack located in Destin serving up the best sno cones around! They offer 50+ flavors of shaved ice that you can mix and match and top off with your favorite candies.

4. Helicopter Tour:

If you have been to Destin before you have probably explored its shops, beaches and attractions on foot, but have you ever seen Destin from above? There are multiple locations that offer private helicopter tours of Destin and the surrounding areas. Take in the views of the white sandy beaches and emerald green waters with a bird’s-eye view and learn about the city’s history and infrastructure.

6. Banana Boat Ride: 

Thrill seekers unite! If you like to live on the edge and want to get out on the water, Mobile Sports offers banana boat rides to customers of all ages.
